The family of Stephen King Amoah, an officer with the Ghana Immigration Service, is appealing to the public for assistance following his sudden and mysterious disappearance on the evening of Thursday, July 3, 2025.
Known among close circles as Otumfour-Nana Kofi Amoah, the officer reportedly left home after receiving a call from a friend who allegedly owed him a debt of GHS200,000. According to the family, Amoah informed his wife of the meeting, stating he was heading to Ashongman Estates to retrieve the money.

- Later that night, Amoah’s wife — who was away from home — received a strange message from his phone, claiming he had returned home safely with the money.
- Suspicious of the tone, she asked Amoah’s brother to verify. However, upon arrival at the residence, Amoah was missing, and there were no signs he had returned.
- His phone has remained off since that night, and he has not been seen or heard from.
⚠️ Suspicious Confession & Arrest
In a shocking twist, the friend who invited Amoah has been arrested and is now in police custody. During questioning, the individual admitted to:
- Meeting Amoah that evening
- Paying the GHS200,000 owed
- Giving him an additional GHS300,000 to “keep safely”
Despite these claims, Amoah is still missing and the circumstances surrounding the alleged payments remain highly suspicious.

Over the weekend, a burnt body was discovered and initially suspected to be that of King Amoah. However, following family identification and forensic review, it was confirmed NOT to be him. The family remains deeply distressed and continues to seek the public’s help.
