Adenta SSNIT Flats Thief Caught Red-Handed with Bag Full of Master Keys
A shocking incident unfolded today at the Adenta SSNIT Flats in Accra when a woman, suspected of being behind a string of stealthy home thefts, was finally apprehended.
Eyewitnesses say the suspect had turned the residential flats into her “personal shopping mall”, frequently breaking into homes while residents were away at work. Her method was as bold as it was quiet: using a bag full of master keys, she would unlock doors like a landlord, enter homes, help herself to valuables, and lock up neatly before vanishing without a trace.
According to residents, this wasn’t a one-time act. She had allegedly been operating for weeks—possibly even months—undetected. Her luck ran out today when vigilant community members caught her in the act during what appeared to be another routine break-in.
“She was a silent pro. You’d never suspect anything. Just walks in like she lives here,” one resident said.
When the suspect was searched, several master keys and tools were found in her bag, raising suspicions that she may be part of a larger syndicate.
While there were no reports of violence, the incident sparked an emotional debate within the community. One resident remarked, “If it had been a man, he’d have received some serious slaps. Equal rights should mean equal consequences.”
The suspect has been handed over to the police, and investigations are ongoing.
